It’s great news that the Report  commissioned by Keep Watch on behalf of all the Communities of Mid and Upper Nithsdale and compiled  by Helen Tucker   on the  “Review of the Role and Potential of Thornhill and Moffat Community Hospitals” is now available for everyone to study.

Helen is an Independent  Researcher and Consultant from Warwick University, and is also Vice President of the Community Hospitals Association in England and Wales. Her wide  experience brings us an informed  perspective, on the current  Community Hospital services, whilst capturing what was historically available, and  providing us with  a  “vision for the future” for these important  Local Community facilities. We would encourage everyone to read it, consider the implications, and become involved in shaping our Health Care Services for the future.  Local Community meetings are planned, and will be announced in due course.  Copies of the Report can be read at Thornhill, ,Sanquhar and Kelloholm libraries, and can be downloaded by clicking the link below.
